What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device by apps and websites that you visit. Cookies are widely used in order to make websites work, fulfill your preferences, and to provide information to the owners of websites.

The table below explains the cookies we use and why.

magic.gg _gat This cookie is used by Google accounts on relevant pages.
magic.gg _gid Used to distinguish users for Google Analytics.
magic.gg _hjTLDTest When the Hotjar script executes we try to determine the most generic cookie path we should use, instead of the page hostname. This is done so that cookies can be shared across subdomains (where applicable). To determine this, we try to store the _hjTLDTest cookie for different URL substring alternatives until it fails. After this check, the cookie is removed
magic.gg _hjAbsoluteSessionInProgress This cookie is used to detect the first pageview session of a user. This is a True/False flag set by the cookie.
magic.gg _hjShownFeedbackMessage Hotjar cookie that is set when a visitor minimizes or completes Incoming Feedback. This is done so that the Incoming Feedback will load as minimized immediately if the visitor navigates to another page where it is set to show.
magic.gg _hjIncludedInSessionSample This cookie is set to let Hotjar know whether that visitor is included in the data sampling defined by your site's daily session limit.
magic.gg _hjIncludedInPageviewSample This cookie is set to let Hotjar know whether that visitor is included in the data sampling defined by your site's pageview limit.
magic.gg _hjid 9f170aa0-a98d-4f3c-aa26-6149ecc726a8 This cookie and ID are used by HotJar to track analytics.
magic.gg __magic_accept_cookies Used by the Company site to record that the user has accepted the cookie policy.
doubleclick.net test_cookie This domain is owned by Doubleclick(Google). The main business activity is: Doubleclick is Googles real time bidding advertising exchange.
youtube.com CONSENT YouTube is a Google owned platform for hosting and sharing videos. YouTube collects user data through vidfeos embedded in websites, which is aggregated with profile data from other Google services in order to display targeted advertising to web visitors across a broad range of their own and other websites.
youtube.com YSC Registers a unique ID to keep statistics of what videos from YouTube the user has seen.
youtube.com VISITOR_INFO!_LIVE A cookie that YouTube sets that measures your bandwidth to determine whether you get the new player interface or the old.
twitch.tv api_token Necessary for the implementation of video-content on the website.
twitch.tv unique_id Preserves users states across page requests.
twitch.tv referrer_url Detects how the user reached the website by registering their last URL-address.
twitch.tv server_session_id Registers which server-cluster is serving the visitor. This is used in context with load balancing, in order to optimize user experience.
twitch.tv unique_id_durable Registers whether the user is logged in. This allows the website owner to make parts of the website inaccessible, based on the user's log-in status.
twitter.com Twitter Button This enables visitors to engage with us via Twitter and allows us to show visitors relevant ads and personalized content on Twitter.
