After six rounds of Limited and ten rounds of Modern, we have the Top 8 players of Pro Tour Magic: The Gathering® | Marvel Super Heroes! These contenders represent the best of the best, and they'll compete for the title of Pro Tour champion on July 19. This Sunday showdown will feature the first Top 8 single-elimination draft in fifteen years, so tune in from pack 1, pick 1 to the moment we crown the winner!
Eduardo Sajgalik
As the first player to secure a spot in the Top 8, Eduardo Sajgalik put up a performance worthy of his storied Magic résumé. He's seen all sides of competitive Magic, having played the role of competitor and commentator at several Pro Tours and Grand Prix events. Earlier this year, Eduardo made the Top 8 of Pro Tour Lorwyn Eclipsed, notching his third Pro Tour Top Finish and finishing in 3rd place overall. In recent years, Sajgalik has emerged as not just one of the best Limited players in the world, but one of the best Limited leaders in the world, captaining and leading the Limited preparation for Team Worldly Counsel Heavy Play. It seems one Top 8 appearance in 2026 wasn't enough for the Canadian, and he'll face off in his favorite format in his fifth career Top Finish.
Bernardo Torres
Bernardo Torres has put up consistently impressive results for the past few years, breaking onto the scene with a series of Top 8 appearances in major Magic Online events. While he made Day Two of Magic World Championship 31, Pro Tour Lorwyn Eclipsed, and Pro Tour Secrets of Strixhaven, he narrowly missed the Top 8 each time. But after his impressive showing with Esper Goryo's, Torres has earned an invitation to World Championship 32 and a spot among this weekend's best players. Tomorrow, we'll see if his Limited preparation with Team Brazilian Storm will deliver him the trophy. Welcome to your first Pro Tour Top 8, Bernardo!
Alex Rohan
Team Handshake Moxfield's Alex Rohan is more prepared than ever before. After solid showings with Neoform at Pro Tour Edge of Eternities and an Azorius Control deck of his team's design at Pro Tour Lorwyn Eclipsed, Rohan dedicated himself to turning his consistent results into something more impressive. He finished with a 12-4 record at Pro Tour Secrets of Strixhaven but missed the Top 8. But this only fueled his desire to go further, and after honing his Limited skills and piloting Broodscale Combo through the Modern rounds, he's finally made the Top 8. Responsible for several key innovations on perhaps the best Pro Tour team of the past three years, Rohan is riding high into Sunday's draft after a 5-1 performance in the Limited rounds on Friday and Saturday.
Ken Yukuhiro
Magic's Heartfire Hero has once again shown the world that he's a force to be reckoned with. Best known for his legendary victory at Pro Tour Magic: The Gathering®—FINAL FANTASY™, Yukuhiro claimed the title of Player of the Year in 2025, earning the first Kai Budde Player of the Year trophy. Beyond that, he also made the Top 8 of Magic World Championship 31, which earned him his spot at this weekend's event. All the stands between this Pro Tour champion and a second trophy are seven other drafters—and he's prepared to face them all, sword in hand.
Lorenzo Gruppi
The Magic Spotlight Series has delivered us another top contender. While Gruppi has made it to the Pro Tour twice before, he's never made Day Two—until this weekend, that is. He finished in 2nd place at Magic Spotlight: The Avatar in Lyon, securing a Pro Tour invitation that would ultimately bring him to Amsterdam. While his goal for the weekend was simply to qualify for the next Pro Tour, he's gone far, far beyond that, earning a spot at Magic World Championship 32. Broodscale Combo has brought him this far, but he'll have to rely on his Limited prowess if he wants to take the trophy back to Italy—where there's more Magic excitement than ever following the formation of Team NOVO TCG eBay under the leadership of Guglielmo Lupi.
Timo Bertram
This is Bertram's second Pro Tour, and he's wasted no time racing up the ladder of Magic's greatest players. After putting up a commendable 7-9 finish at Pro Tour Secrets of Strixhaven, he made the Top 32 of Europe's Regional Championship and punched his ticket to Amsterdam. But beyond his impressive results, Bertram is a true Magic superfan. He competes at Eternal Weekend every year, grinds games with his teammates on Team Lingering Souls, and is undaunted by the Top 8 draft he'll face on Sunday. After a run as the tournament's last remaining undefeated player, Bertram overcame adversity on Saturday afternoon as he worked through three straight losses to secure his spot in the Top 8.
Mattia Oneto
Oneto made his Pro Tour debut over a decade ago at Pro Tour Shadows over Innistrad, and his passion for competition and Magic hasn't waned. Known for his victory at 2018's Magic Online Championship, this is his first premier competitive event since 2020. He brought Boros Energy, the most-popular Modern deck of the weekend, and his choice of archetype served him well as he became the second member of Team NOVO TCG eBay to make the Top 8.
Yuuki Ichikawa
Four Grand Prix titles. Multiple Pro Tour appearances. A victory at 2021's Innistrad Championship. Yuuki Ichikawa's record is stacked, and he's earned another impressive result after this weekend. His teammates from Team Moriyama Japan were thrilled when he earned his Top 8 spot after several rounds of sneaking out creatures with Neoform—but this finish is far from surprising. Ichikawa is a truly masterful Magic player, and he's sure to impress in Sunday's draft.
