Breaking news! The webbed menace, Spider-Man, was spotted swinging through the San Diego Comic-Con and into Magic: The Gathering. Our reporters from The Daily Bugle managed to get a few snapshots of Spider-Man, but he managed to get away before we could unmask him for good.

But worry not, because our insider sources have the scoop on where Spider-Man and his fellow web-slingers are headed: Baltimore, Maryland, USA, and Liverpool, UK, for Magic Spotlight: Spider-Man!

Announcing Magic Spotlight: Spider-Man

The Magic Spotlight Series is donning Spider-Man's iconic mask for Magic Spotlight: Spider-Man, and we're bringing it to two continents! Featuring Standard Constructed, this event will have players battling it out in a fresh and fiery format filled with cards from Magic: The Gathering® | Marvel's Spider-Man.

What Is the Spotlight Series?

The Magic Spotlight Series is a collection of open-invite events that lets anyone play high-level Magic, win awesome prizes, and gather to see who has the skill to claim Magic greatness. Centered around an open-field tournament, these two-day events offer cash prizes, promo cards, and even invitations to the Pro Tour.

If you don't make it to the end of the main event, then no worries. You can still enjoy all the vendors, side events, special guests, and many more exciting aspects of this tournament series.

What Can I Win?

Each Magic Spotlight: Spider-Man event features a $50,000 prize pool. Additionally, each participant in the main event will receive a non-foil Spectacular Spider-Man promo card with artwork by Julian Totino Tedesco. Additionally, the Top 128 players in that main event will also receive traditional foil copies of this promo card. That sounds spectacular!

In addition, the Top 8 players in each main event will receive invitations to Pro Tour Lorwyn Eclipsed, taking place in Richmond, Virgina, USA, from January 30–February 1, 2026. Please note that this Pro Tour will not be held at a MagicCon. This will be a closed event for participants and won't be open to the public.
