Anyone who's ever been to MagicCon can tell you: there's playing Magic, and there's being completely submersed in it for an entire weekend.

MagicCon is where we go deeper into everything we love about the game, with more ways to play, more of the Multiverse to explore, more artists and creators to meet, more competition to watch, and thousands of fans to share it all with. This year has been unforgettable for MagicCon, and in 2027, we're diving even deeper.

From February 26–28, 2027, MagicCon makes its inaugural voyage to Detroit for three days of celebrating everything Magic: The Gathering. It marks the first MagicCon of 2027 and the beginning of our biggest year yet, with Detroit kicking off four (yes, four) MagicCon events to fans around the world.

For this first stop, we're plunging into the world of Nauctis: The Sunken Realm, and where better to do that than the heart of the Great Lakes? So, grab your decks and crew. It's time to dive into the gathering.

MagicCon: Detroit Badge Packages

Chart a course for Detroit! Early-bird badge sales begin September 29 at 10 a.m. PT at mcdetroit.mtgfestivals.com.

Early-bird pricing will be available on all adult badges through October 5 at 10 a.m. PT or while supplies last. Some badge types can sell out quickly, and no additional inventory will be added if a badge sells out during the early-bird pricing period. We recommend reviewing our updated How to Buy page before the sale begins so you're ready when badges go live.

Youth badges are available for attendees ages 10 to 15. Children ages 9 and younger may attend the show for free with a paid adult guardian.

Mythic VIP Bundle and Family Spark Return

Its time to sink or swim in Detroit as some of the best Magic players in the world prepare for Pro Tour Nauctis. With a $500,000 prize pool and the Black Lotus winner's trophy on the line, players will face off in Nauctis: The Sunken Realm Draft and Modern Constructed. Who will bubble up to the top?
