The Preview Panel at MagicCon: Las Vegas showed off tons of exciting content from the future of Magic, from new cards to future releases, and that's just the start of a jam-packed season of reveals. We'll be attending a bevy of conventions and events over the coming months—San Diego Comic-Con, Gen Con, PAX West, and beyond—where you'll get a first look at the future of Magic.
But as fans celebrate Magic in Las Vegas, we're already gearing up for 2026's MagicCons—and more! We announced our 2026 lineup of events during the Preview Panel, along with some exciting plans for the future of Magic events. Get hyped, because the future of events is looking magical.
The 2026 MagicCon Schedule
MagicCon returns in 2026, and Magic fans from across the globe can look forward to celebrating the game they love. Here are all of the MagicCons we announced for 2026, which includes our much-anticipated return to Europe:

- MagicCon: Amsterdam 2026: July 17–19, 2026
- MagicCon: Atlanta 2026: November 13–15, 2026

The 2026 Pro Tour Schedule
The greatest players in Magic will face off at the Pro Tour and Magic World Championship 32, where they'll compete for massive prizes and a place in the history of the game. Sleeve up your cards and start testing your decks, it's shaping up to be quite the season of competitive Magic.
- Pro Tour Lorwyn Eclipsed: January 30–February 1, 2026
- Richmond, Virginia, USA
- This Pro Tour will not be held at a MagicCon. This will be a closed event for participants and won't be open to the public.
- The second Pro Tour of 2026: May 1–3, 2026
- MagicCon: Las Vegas
- The third Pro Tour of 2026: July 17–19, 2026
- MagicCon: Amsterdam
- Magic World Championship 32: November 13–15, 2026
- MagicCon: Atlanta

The Magic Spotlight Series
Our first year of the Magic Spotlight Series has been incredible, with players of all formats celebrating the return of open-field tournaments. For 2026, we're bringing more Spotlight Series events to more locations. That means more prizes, more Pro Tour invites, and more Magic!
In 2025, we've scheduled eight Spotlight Series events. For 2026, we'll be running twelve Spotlight Series events. Some of these events will share a theme, with two different territories featuring the same Spotlight Series event. We're looking forward to bringing thrilling gameplay to more regions. And yes, that means we'll be hosting more global events, bringing the Spotlight Series to even more territories outside the United States, Europe, and Japan.

In-Store Commander Play Events Starting with Edge of Eternities
Are you looking for more casual, local Magic? Then you should check out the brand-new Commander Play events at your local game store. Starting with Edge of Eternities, we'll be launching more specialized Commander events at participating WPN game stores. These offer new ways to play and new ways to earn special promo cards. We'll be featuring two new types of events:
- Commander Box League: Build a Commander deck out of the contents of a Play Booster box. Held over the course of Prerelease week, this is a great way to learn about a set while playing alongside your community.
- Two-Headed Giant Commander Night: Team up with another player of your choice (or be paired with another attendee) for some casual multiplayer games.
