Play Schedule

It wouldn't be a Magic celebration without a metric ton of ways to play Magic in a million different ways. If there's a way you enjoy Magic, chances are good you can play it at Magic 30 thanks to Pastimes Events.

Let's take a look.

Magic 30 Championship

Headlining the event is the Magic 30 Championship that will culminate in a Beta Rochester Draft. There will be four opportunities to qualify for the Championship. The Top 8 from each qualifier will earn entry into the Championship—a brutal 32-person, single-elimination tournament taking place Sunday. Both the qualifiers and the Championship will be Modern Constructed, at least until that Top 8 Beta Rochester Draft.

Qualifier Schedule:

  • Friday 2 p.m. – two qualifiers running simultaneously
  • Saturday 11 a.m.
  • Saturday 2 p.m.

Each qualifier will have a maximum capacity of 224 players. The Top 8 for each event will qualify for the Sunday single-elimination Championship. The last eight standing on Sunday then get to Beta Rochester Draft for a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Specific terms and conditions may apply and will be posted at each event.

As if that's not enough, prizes come in the form of some very historic boosters.

Championship Top 8

1st: 1 Beta booster

2nd–4th: 1 Arabian Nights booster

5th–8th: 1 Antiquities and 1 English Legends booster.

Championship Top 32

9th–32nd: 2 English Legends boosters

9th–24th: 2 Italian Legends boosters

25th–128th: Prize tickets

All proceeds from this event will benefit Extra Life.

Come on, like you don't want to see what those achievements are going to be.

We'll be hosting a Legacy event and a Vintage event each day. Each event will run three rounds. If you finish 3–0 in the Legacy event, you'll receive a booster of Italian Legends. And it wouldn't be an event celebrating Magic's history without the format that produces stories as epic as any—Grand Melee! We'll be using Double Masters 2022 Sealed and having players battle it out in a massive multiplayer showdown. There are two Double Masters 2022 Grand Melee events, one Friday at 7 p.m. and one Saturday at 4 p.m.

Additionally, there will be a Standard Sealed Grand Melee Sunday at 11 a.m.

And More!

Of course, there's more! We'll host events in Pioneer, Standard, Modern, Vintage, Legacy, Pauper, Three-Player Team Constructed, Sealed, and Booster Draft all weekend long!

Exclusive Secret Lair

Last but not least, we'll be selling a Magic 30 exclusive Secret Lair drop at the event and as part of our Festival in a Box package.

Help the brave food fighter Li'l Giri save the day with these five adorable cards featuring art by kawasumi. This timeless story of derring-do, told across the card art and flavor text, is the perfect addition to any deck or collection.

Li'l Giri Saves the Day will only be available in traditional foil for $39.99 and only as part of Magic 30. You can see the five cards that are part of the drop over on DailyMTG.
