The latest round of Regional Championship Qualifiers (RCQs) is currently underway, and players have been testing their mettle in Standard and Limited. As 2026 continues, we're also preparing for our next round of RCQs. That means a fresh series of events, a new suite of promo cards, and more chances to start your competitive Magic journey.
Today, we'll be revealing more information about this next round of RCQs and some of 2026's upcoming Regional Championships.
Upcoming Regional Championship Qualifiers
(April 4–August 2)
The second round of RCQs for 2026 will begin on April 4 and run until August 2. All WPN stores and destination event organizers will be running RCQs that feed into the upcoming round of Regional Championships for 2026–27 during this window.
For this round, RCQs at WPN game stores can be held as Modern Constructed or Limited events. Larger events that are designated as "destination" qualifiers—events run in larger venues such as hotel ballrooms or convention centers—may be run as other Constructed formats. Please check with your local organizer for all specific info on qualifiers closest to you.
Additionally, the product line-up for Limited may differ depending on when the event is taking place, as this round will span multiple booster releases, so check with your organizer for the specific details if you're interested in a Limited RCQ.

Magic Spotlight: Eclipsed and a New Trophy
The Magic Spotlight Series will make a stop in Toronto, Canada, this weekend as Face to Face Games hosts Magic Spotlight: Eclipsed. This two-day main event puts the spotlight on Lorwyn Eclipsed Limited. Starting on Saturday, February 7, players will compete for their share of a $50,000 prize pool, invitations to Pro Tour Secrets of Strixhaven, and more!
While the main event is sold out, there are still side events, Commander packages, and more for those who still want to get some games in. You can find all the details over on Face to Face Games's website.
The winner of this event is also getting a little something that may resemble a certain trophy you may have seen from Magic World Championship 31 and Pro Tour Lorwyn Eclipsed.
In addition to an invitation to an invitation to the Pro Tour and a $10,000 cash prize, the winner of Magic Spotlight: Eclipsed will also receive a stunning new trophy to commemorate their victory, depicting Magic's Black Lotus as it begins to bloom.
*Promotional cards are available while supplies last. Prize promo availability may differ by region and may change at Wizards of the Coast's discretion. Check with your regional tournament organizer and hosting game store for more information.
