Magic is already off to the races with the upcoming release of Aetherdrift, and the competitive season is shifting into high gear to match it. We've got the latest information on the season to help you prep for a year of high-level play. We'll be going over the upcoming Regional Championship Qualifiers, Regional Championships, Pro Tours, and even a look at the next Magic Spotlight Series events. Whether you're a dedicated drafter or a seasoned Standard player, there's a chance for you to claim victory on the competitive circuit.

Upcoming Regional Championship Qualifiers
(April 12–July 20)
We're kicking off the season with the first round of Regional Championship Qualifier events. These are the first steps on many players' paths to the Pro Tour, and this round could be the prologue to your competitive odyssey.
This round will run from April 12 to July 20. RCQs at your local game store can be run as Modern Constructed or Limited, so contact your store for details. "Destination RCQs," often run as a part of larger conventions, host a variety of formats. There are plenty of places to test your mettle against fellow players!
We've also got a suite of new Secret Lair promos for this round of events. All RCQ participants during this round will receive a non-foil
Qualify for Pro Tour Edge of Eternities at Regional Championships
(April 19–June 1)
Our third and final Pro Tour of the year is Pro Tour Edge of Eternities, and if you're hoping to take to the stars, then get ready to qualify at this spring's Regional Championships. Each region's organizer will be hosting an RC for qualified players, with the United States receiving two Regional Championships!
These events will be Standard Constructed, with specific arrangements decided by organizers. Players who prove their prowess (possibly with prowess) will qualify for Pro Tour Edge of Eternities at MagicCon: Atlanta.

Regional Championships for the First Pro Tour of 2026
(October 11–November 23)
The last round of Regional Championships for the year will feed into the first Pro Tour of 2026, which we'll have more details on later. These Regional Championships will feature Modern Constructed and run from October 11 to November 23.

Two New Spotlight Series Events Are on the Horizon
We kicked off the Spotlight Series in Atlanta last month, marking the return of massive, open-field tournaments. Players loved our last event, and the Spotlight will shine on at Magic Spotlight: Modern next month. Speaking of upcoming Spotlight Series events …
Dragons and shiny cards: what more could a Magic player ask for? Our next two Spotlight Series events feature both of those as the centerpiece, with Magic Spotlight: Dragons and Magic Spotlight: Secret Lair offering prizes you won't find anywhere else.
Magic Spotlight: Dragons
(April 11–13)
Dragons aren't just on Tarkir, they're also in Denver, Colorado, at Magic Spotlight: Dragons! This event is part of SCG CON and will feature Tarkir: Dragonstorm Limited, making this one of your first chances to play the set’s 40-card formats at a high-level event.
Every participant will receive a non-foil
Speaking of a dragon's hoard, that's the prize for this event's winner! The winner of Magic Spotlight: Dragons will receive a full case of Tarkir: Dragonstorm Collector Booster boxes, adding up to 288 Collector Boosters. We checked with our lore experts, and that's enough to qualify as a dragon's hoard. That's in addition to the winner getting a chunk of that $50,000 prize pool. Magic Spotlight: Secret Lair
