Compete in the Historic Challenge on MTG Arena!
To celebrate the debut of Historic in Magic Esports at the 2020 Mythic Invitational, all players will have the opportunity to rise to the challenge in MTG Arena! Starting on September 5, players can prove themselves in the Historic Challenger through best-of-three matches using the Historic format, with a top prize featuring 15,000 gold and 40 Amonkhet Remastered booster packs.

Format: Traditional (best-of-three) Historic
Entry Fee: 10,000 Gold or 2,000 Gems
Play Until: 8 match wins or 3 match losses (whichever comes first)

Additional Reward Details
Historic ICRs grant cards from pack releases onMTG Arena. They do not include cards that were released outside of packs (e.g. cards from Historic Anthologies). Historic rare ICRs may upgrade to a mythic rare, each rare is twice as likely to be awarded as each mythic rare. Card sleeve rewards are evenly distributed and duplicate protected; if you already have all four card sleeves in your collection you will receive no additional reward.

- Historic is always available as a Ranked Play option, letting you level up to the top of Mythic ranking at the end of each month's season, unlocking access to a Qualifier Weekend.
- The weekend of September 12 and 13 is the September Zendikar Rising Qualifier Weekend, for qualified players, which features two days of Historic Constructed.
